The APD14 is AP Diving's own brand, redesigned and internally restructured oxygen cell, which was relaunched in July 2014. In late 2013 and early 2014, they experienced an extraordinary number of problems with the APD14 cells, and resolving these was their top priority. In July 2014, several major changes were made to the cell's water-repellent surface, the cathode and cathode housing were modified to keep the cathode lubricated in all conditions, extending cell life and increasing stability. After 12 months of use, they are happy to report that the July 2014 date code cells have met their stability and longevity goals.

Mixing cells: A mixture of two cell types, APD14 and APD16, is perfectly suitable.
